The Witch of Theatergoing, Drama & Spectating
Featherine Augustus Aurora is the Witch of Theatergoing, Drama & Spectating. An ancient being who exists beyond the Sea of Fragments, she views all of reality as a tale to be written and observed.
Her most distinctive feature is the horseshoe-shaped memory device floating above her head. This artefact contains her memories and personality; without it, she would cease to be herself. It represents both her greatest power and her vulnerability.
She takes Ange Ushiromiya as her miko (shrine maiden) and piece, guiding her through the labyrinth of the Rokkenjima mystery. Their relationship echoes the eternal dance between author and character.
"I am the Witch of Theatergoing. I observe all tales, all possibilities, all kakera... and I find them most entertaining."
Bern has served Featherine the longest of all her mikos, having been granted her witch form by her in the past. She credits Featherine with teaching her how to "tear up guts and drag them out." Despite Bern's impolite manner, Featherine is fond of her and grateful to Bern for curing her boredom so long ago.
Ange first meets Featherine in her human form as Tohya and soon becomes her Reader. Though Ange speaks to her very rudely, Featherine overlooks this and is actually greatly amused by it. Their bond echoes the eternal dance between author and character.
In the human world, Featherine manifests as the mystery author Tohya Hachijo. Through this vessel she weaves tales of Rokkenjima, blurring the line between the witch's domain and the world of humans.
The Witch of Certainty stands as one of the few beings who can engage with Featherine on a higher plane. Their relationship is one of eternal opposition, a game played across infinite fragments.
The Golden Witch and Endless Sorcerer whose game upon Rokkenjima captivates Featherine's attention. Through her piece, Featherine challenges Beatrice, finding entertainment in the witch's elaborate tales of love and mystery.
The Endless Sorcerer who stands against the witch's illusions. Featherine observes his struggle to uncover the truth of Rokkenjima, a protagonist whose defiance against fate makes for an entertaining tale.
She wields "The Power of the Pencil", viewing all existence as a script she can freely modify. Plot, fate, probability, causality, and the fabric of reality bend to her whims across infinite layers of existence.
Her true form transcends the infinite hierarchy of meta-layers, existing as a fundamental principle of the universe itself, a pillar that sustains all of reality.
Even complete erasure from the Sea of Nothingness cannot destroy her. She reforms through thought alone, making her effectively immortal beyond any conventional meaning.
She manipulates void, concepts, minds, souls, and information itself. Other witches' domains are mere pieces on her chessboard. Her manifestation alone transcends the Witch Domain.
As the author of the tale, she possesses complete knowledge of all events, all possibilities, all truths. She is the narrative, and the narrative knows all.

She existed before the dawn of the witch hierarchy, a being from an age beyond memory.
Once, her memory device was damaged, leaving her diminished... a tragedy worthy of a tale itself.
